Use this checklist to make your home easier to price, easier to show, and easier for buyers to trust.
Before pricing
- Gather tax, utility, heating, insurance, well, and septic information.
- List updates by year: roof, windows, heat pumps, oil tank, kitchen, bathrooms, electrical, plumbing, and exterior work.
- Find surveys, permits, warranties, receipts, water tests, and maintenance records.
Before photos
- Fix obvious safety and maintenance issues.
- Clean kitchens, bathrooms, windows, floors, storage, and entry areas.
- Declutter closets, basements, garages, sheds, counters, and mudrooms.
- Improve curb appeal with trimmed grass, clear walkways, and tidy decks.
